Neighborhood Eats: Yirasai

Hidden in a Bethesda shopping center, Yirasai is bright and bustling. Snapshots of regulars line the walls, and the sushi chefs are always ready with a smile. Along with more traditional picks, creative rolls such as the Trio Amigo (stuffed with tuna, yellowtail, salmon, and a sweet sauce) and the Green Tree (cucumber, eel, and crab topped with avocado) are winners. Diners are apt to get a free taste of special nigiri along with their own sushi selections.
