Still making Thanksgiving plans? Here’s what hotels around town are doing—and the deals they’re offering—to help you celebrate.

Whether you need to accommodate out-of-town guests or just escape from your own house, several of Washington’s hotels are offering discounted room rates. The Renaissance M Street Hotel has rooms starting at $119 a night during the holiday. The deal requires a 14-day advance purchase and is valid through December 1. Be sure to use the promotional code ZJL when booking. Call 1-800-228-9290 for reservations.

All seven Kimpton hotels in Washington are offering 20 percent off their best available rates and a stay in a deluxe room as part of the Take the Elevator Home package. The offer is available from November 20 to December 30. Participating hotels are the Topaz Hotel, Hotel Rouge, Hotel Helix, Hotel Madera, Hotel George, Hotel Palomar DC, and Hotel Monaco DC. To book, visit www.kimptonhotels.com or call 800-KIMPTON. Be sure to mention the “TEH” rate.

Hotel Palomar Arlington is offering a unique package for ecoconscious guests called The Giving Tree, inspired by Shel Silverstein’s classic book. In addition to a one-night stay in a king deluxe room, guests will receive a keepsake copy of The Giving Tree and 20 percent off purchases from the hotel’s cheese-and-wine shop, Domasoteca. Here’s the ecofriendly part: Guests who book the package will be mailed a young sapling to plant, or they can choose to have the tree given to someone else. There are more than a dozen kinds of trees to choose from, both coniferous and deciduous. The package is available November 1 through January 30, and costs $169 for the first night and $129 for each additional night.

The Park Hyatt Washington’s American Harvest package includes accommodations and Thanksgiving day brunch for two at Blue Duck Tavern. Guests will stay in a Park Deluxe room, which features down duvets, flat-screen televisions, limestone rain showers, and deep soaking tubs. The three-course brunch, available from 10:30 to 3 on November 27, includes hors d’oeuvres; seasonal salads, meats, and smoked fish; a choice of entrée and sides; and house-made desserts. The package is only available November 26 and 27.

Feel like taking a break from the kitchen this Thanksgiving? The Willard Intercontinental is offering Thanksgiving day brunch and dinner. Seatings for the buffet-style brunch are at 11, 11:30, 1:30, and 2. The price is $65 per adult and $30 for children ages 5 to 12. The five-course dinner is offered in the Willard Room from noon to 9 on November 27. It costs $99 for adults and $50 for children ages 5 to 12; children under 5 eat free at both meals.

In addition to its in-house meals, the Willard is also offering a carry-out option, which includes a large turkey—there are two different sizes available—cranberry sauce, gravy, four side dishes, and freshly baked rolls and pie. Dinner for four to six people is $150, and dinner for eight to 10 costs $250. Orders, which must be placed by 3 PM on Monday, November 24, can be made by calling 202-637-7305.

The Fairmont hotel in DC has a similar carry-out meal option this Thanksgiving called Turkeys To-Go. The dinner, which serves 10 to 12 people, includes an herb-roasted turkey, stuffing, maple-roasted sweet potatoes, squash and other vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, and a choice of apple, pumpkin, or pecan pie. The meal costs $280, and orders must be placed by Friday, November 21. To place orders, call 202-429-2400 ext. 210.

Looking to escape the city for the holiday? Try the lovely Canaan Valley Resort in Davis, West Virginia. About a four-hour drive from Washington, the hotel sits on a plateau in the shadow of the Allegheny Mountains. From November 26 through 30, the hotel is offering a two-night package that includes two breakfasts; access to an indoor pool, hot tub, and saunas; and a Thanksgiving feast. The package costs $105 a night.
