Kung Fu acid trips and Southern rock are on tap

Described as a “Kung Fu acid trip,” Magic of Spell is showing at the Passenger tonight. Presented by the Washington Psychotronic Film Society, the screening is followed by music and prizes. 8 PM; free, but donations are accepted.

Gov’t Mule, a Southern rock band, is a side project by members of the Allman Brothers Band. The group is performing tonight at the Warner Theatre. 8 PM. Tickets ($35) are available through Ticketmaster.

Catch a trio of top-notch bands at the Red Palace—Fake Problems, Solar Powered, and Sun Destroyer. The show starts at 7; buy tickets ($8) through Ticket Alternative.
