It may be the most extreme of extreme sports: bull riding. Here's your chance to learn. A two-day clinic is taught by champion rider Randy Ridgely each May at the Wicked R Ranch in Wyoming—Wyoming, Delaware.

Day one focuses on safety, balance, and riding techniques by offering practice on horseback and a mechanical bull. By day's end, you'll be trying to make the whistle—a stay of eight seconds—on a beginner bull. Day two may find you on the back of a more challenging bull.

This year's production by Wicked R Western Productions (302-492-3327) is May 7 and 8. It costs $250 and includes all safety equipment, a Saturday-night bonfire and barbecue, and one night's lodging in the cowboy bunkhouse.
