Screen on the Green Announces 2011 Films and Dates

The popular summer movie series is on—in a new location

Screen on the Green, a Washington tradition that is in its 12th year, has announced its summer lineup. This year, Friends of Screen on the Green have announced that the outdoor summer film festival will take place in a new location. The screening will still happen on the Mall, but this year it will be a few blocks west, between 8th and 14th streets, Northwest.

Without further ado, here are the films and dates (all are Mondays):

July 25: In the Heat of the Night

August 1: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

August 8: Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

August 15: Cool Hand Luke

Though some haters are saying you should sit this tradition out, organizers say nearly 15,000 people attend each event. You might not want to miss out.
