Thompson will co-head the office with existing co-partner-in-charge Bobby Burchfield. Thompson says he expects to keep up his white-collar defense practice in addition to his new managing duties. “Lesson one of McDermott is you’re required to maintain an active practice even as a managing partner,” he says. Rogers will continue to lead the firm’s employee benefits, compensation, labor and employment practice.
