FILM:
Bride & Groom readers won’t want to miss tonight’s free screening of Bride Wars at Bethesda Row. In a hilarious turn of events, best friends Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Liv (Kate Hudson) become “frenemies” after their respective weddings are scheduled on the same day. You can watch the trailer here. Redwood will be serving complimentary popcorn and $5 glasses of sparkling wine. This screening is part of Bethesda Row’s Movies Under the Stars Series. 8:30 PM.

MUSIC: Bob Dylan, arguably the most influential songwriter of recent history, is coming to the Merriweather Post Pavilion tonight. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and honorary Pulitzer Prize winner has played more than 2,300 concerts in the last 20 years alone. He’s been hailed by Time magazine as a “master poet, caustic social critic, and intrepid, guiding spirit of the counterculture generation.” Tickets ($40 to $77.50) are still available through Ticket Fly. Doors open at 6 PM.

DRINKS: DC Beer Week may be getting all the attention these days, but those in search of something a bit heartier can drop by Cuba Libre for their National Rum Day Celebration. Enjoy 50 percent off all rum and rum-based cocktails at the bar from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. And with more than 90 options to chose from, rum connoisseurs won’t leave disappointed.

SIGNING: Jennifer Close will be discussing and signing copies of her debut novel, Girls in White Dresses, at Politics and Prose. Intersecting short stories tell the tale of three unapologetic women suffering through an endless round of weddings and bridal showers. Members can save 20 percent off the book this month. Free; 7 PM.
