Join author and punch enthusiast Dan Searing for Eatonville’s holiday dinner and punch tasting. The four-course spread includes hors d’oeuvres, prosciutto and fig salad, butternut squash cappuccino, pan-seared salmon, and assorted desserts. Each course will be served with a seasonal punch. MUSIC: String-rock quintet Darlingside are dropping by the Iota Club and Cafe tonight. The Massachusetts natives seamlessly blend rock, classical, and folk. You can listen to some of their tracks here. Darlingside will be joined by Bethany and the Guitar. Tickets ($10) can be purchased at the door. 8:30 PM.

HOLIDAY: Leave the kids at home for tonight’s gingerbread house workshop at the Fairmont. Executive pastry chef Aron Weber will divulge his decorating secrets while guests construct their own edible estates. Holiday hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. Tickets ($60) include materials, and can be reserved by calling 202-457-5019. 6 PM.

SHOPPING: Today is your last chance to peruse the National Museum of Women in the Artsannual holiday market. You’ll find unique jewelry, home accents, and accessories made by female artists and designers. Members can save an additional 20 percent. Free. 10 AM to 5 PM.
