“RG3” proved early on that he could run as effectively in the NFL as he had in college and, more important, could stay on his feet long enough to throw accurate passes—something no other recent Skins quarterback has been able to do. Washington has never been short on Redskins fans, but thanks to Griffin they actually watch the team these days rather than just complain about its ownership.
