We’ve long been fans of the battling ropes workout that works the core, upper body, and lower body all at once. With just one piece of equipment, it doesn’t get any more convenient—although your triceps and shoulders won’t exactly call it easy the morning after.

If it’s been a few months since you last picked up that 30-pound rope to whip its 50- to 100-foot length with all your might, turn up the intensity on your training regimen with one of these gyms’ heavy ropes.
