These 6 Valentine’s Day Pop-Ups Are Here to Save the Day

Have nothing planned for Valentine’s Day yet? That’s okay–this weekend will offer plenty of opportunities for you to fake your way through the holiday with last-minute shopping pop-ups and cute couples’ activities that might almost make your partner think you planned it.

Maketto

You might love the hip new eatery for their pork buns, but this weekend you’re going to love them for their collection of Valentine’s Day merchandise. Fresh flowers, Frenchie’s macarons, Undone chocolate bars, and Rachel Pfeffer Designs jewelry will provide plenty of gift options for your loved one, while a bean-to-bar demo by Undone on Saturday will provide a bit of entertainment. Pick up some sweets from Capital Candy Jar and DreamBites’ pop-ups at Union Market on February 9 through 14 during market hours, then return for some love-themed events throughout the weekend: cocktails with Buffalo & Bergen on February 12 through 14 from 5 to 9 PM; Righteous Cheese’s chocolate, cheese, and bubbly pairings class on February 13 and 14 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM; Valentine’s Day Portraits with Emma McAlary on February 14 from 10 AM to 4 PM; and a couples’ workout with Chris and Alex Perrin on February 14 from 10 to 11 AM. A good gift shop at any time of the year, Curated makes for a particularly perfect place to shop for Valentine’s Day gifts with all of their cute desktop decor and accessories. But this weekend, Curated is opening its doors to Hannah Lois Designs, allowing customers to book free consultations for custom projects and shop the jewelry collection. Brewmaster Studios

The collective of artisans behind Brewmaster Studios at the Heurich House Museum’s Carriage House are spending Thursday night hosting a pop-up shop at their studio space, featuring Matine’s leather bags, Sea Heart City Press’ saucy and sweet greeting cards, and Mallory Shelter Jewelry’s sparkly accessories. Fashion Centre at Pentagon City

If you’re taking your sweetie shopping this weekend, you can head to the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City where, alongside the Victoria’s Secret and Godiva stores, couples will be able to pose for Valentine’s Day portraits in the free photo booth on Saturday, February 13, from 11 AM to 7 PM and Sunday, February 14, from noon to 5 PM. Alex and Ani

The purveyor of bangle bracelets is setting up a shopping event on Saturday, February 13, where customers can eat and drink while they check out the collection of wrap bracelets, rose quartz accessories, and heart-shaped charms.
