Meet the “Scandal” Costume Designer Behind Olivia Pope’s Power Look at This DC Event

If you’ve ever obsessed over the wardrobe of Olivia Pope, the fictional Washington crisis manager at the epicenter of ABC’s Scandal, you have Lyn Paolo to thank. An Emmy-winning costume designer, Paolo has years of experience making TV Washington look good as the costume designer on both The West Wing and Scandal.

On Saturday, Paolo will be in town for a spring fashion event at Macy’s in Tysons. After highlighting spring trends–which will then be displayed in a runway show–Paolo will open the floor for a five-minute Q&A so fans can pose their burning power-look fashion questions. At the end of the formal presentation, guests will sip La Croix and Boylan Bottling sodas and snack on catered goodies from Capital Grille while mingling with Paolo herself.

At the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to receive mini makeovers from Clinique and mini manicures from Modern Nail Studio, as well as enter for the chance to win a style consultation with Paolo, so she can help you to–finally!–get that Olivia Pope-approved look down.

The runway show will kick off the festivities at 2 PM on April 2 on the first floor fashion court at Macy’s, 8000 Tysons Corner Center, McLean;  703-893-4900.
