Ok I may be biased due to the fact my sister works at Ella's, but i do admit that it is one of the best restaurants ive had the pleasure of dining at when i visit the DC area every year. Not only is the food fabulous but the wait staff are friendly and make it a worth while dining experience. I recommend Ella's to all of my co workers and friends who visit DC.
We visited DC for the first time last week with 2 boys - ages 11 and 13. We ate at Ella's twice in a five night visit to the city - it was THAT great. The food, the service, the atmosphere, and the location to our hotel (Rennaissance) - all excellent! The fettucini special was outstanding, as were the different varieties of pizza and the sparkling red wine.
