Not sure what the negative review was all about but this place is great. I've only been there one time when it wasn't shoulder to shoulder, and then I realized it was Ramadan. I do take-out because it is crazy in there, but it's kind of cool. The beef kabobs are awesome and I normally make two meals out of it. The chic peas and bread are fantastic as well. Oh, don't forget the vegetable somosas - wow. I could see why you wouldn't want to take a group there (finding a table would be tough) but it's worth the trip for the grub. When I first started eating kabobs 7 years ago when I moved to the area, I fell in love with the chain Moby Dicks. Hahahah, this place is in another league and I won't ever go back to Moby Dicks. Try it.

If there is any restaurant in the Washington Metro area to avoid it would be the filthy Ravi Kabob. The bone-in and boneless chicken kabobs are overspiced (and I adore well spiced foods) and as dry as Ravi's day old Naan-type bread. The vegetables of the day are overcooked, and the chickpeas are revolting.

Whomever was responsible for sampling this restaurant from Washingtonian Magazine should stick with reviewing McDonald's and Burger King, as this individual has no clue about what makes a kabob worthy of praise.

We went to the one by the CVS. The kabobs are up there with the best in the area. We were taken aback by how dirty the resturaunt was. Which leads me to question the cleanliest of the kitchen. Taking my family was a mistake. We would rather go to Kabob Palace which has excellent food and a much nicer, cleaner place.
