Several times I have been to the larger Nava restaurant and my friends and I were VERY unhappy with the kids running around, throwing pillows, screaming etc . When the parents were asked to make their kids behave, their response was "Are you serious ?' Restaurants are not childrens playgrounds! The service is very slow and the waiters are not very attentive. The food seasonings are become too Americanized.
This is as close as you can get for real Thai food. I really love the way that they keep their food so authentic.
Floating market noodle soup is second to none. Twice cooked duck appetizer and hot & sour squid, both are two my favorite starters. Even the basic stir-fried chicken with basil leaves and chille sauce is exactly the same as I remember have it in Thailand. Mouth watering. :)
Btw, don't forget to try Tilapia in chili sauce. Hmm.... yum.
We frequented Nava Thai many times before it moved to its larger space, and find that it is no longer offers the very unique flavors and cooking that distinguished it from the so many other Thai restaurants.
