I first visited Flavors in 1998/1999 and have been going there every since. I moved out of the area in 2003 and make it a point to stop there every time I come home. I even had a big welcome home luncheon there a couple of years ago. I learned not to fly in on Monday expecting a home cooked meal as they are closed so I try and fly in on Sunday whenever possible. They have even become heart healthy by cooking their collards in turkey meat and they now offer herb roasted chicken but it is hard to stay away from that lightly fried chicken. The coconut cake is the bomb. It is my home away from home...The atmosphere is always relaxed and Mom and her sons do a great job. It is must if you want some good home cookin' while you are in town.
