We visited this plain looking restaurant and were absolutely impressed with fresh and authentic food.
The nachos as an appetizer was superb. The tomatoes/onions/guacamole seemed to be just plucked from the vine. The tamales were delicious.
I ordered shrimp and garlic and, again, the freshest food and perfectly seasoned. Accompanied with a glass of sangria (tasty and fruity) and I was totally satisfied. The dessert menu could have been more impressive but I was too full to consider it further.
The portions were just right and the price was excellent. The service was amazingly friendly and I was excited to speak to anyone about how delicious the food was. I had been tired of the loud, cliche Mexican food one finds in Bethesda.
