Monday, April 2: If you’re looking for a bit of pop music to jump-start your week, you can’t do better than Christina Aguilera’s concert this evening at the Verizon Center. Tickets are still available for tonight’s show, which is sure to be a rollicking mix of blues, pop tartness, and divadom. Want to grab a drink before the show? Head to Rocket Bar (714 7th St., NW), the recently opened spot in Gallery Place where you can shoot some pool and order a couple of pitchers of beer. There’s no kitchen, but if you’re hungry, management allows you to bring in carryout from any of the numerous spots in the area. The concert starts at 7:30 pm. $55 to $85.

Tuesday, April 3: Philadanco, one of the most exciting and innovative dance troupes in the country, comes to the Kennedy Center this evening for a two-night run. 8 pm, $14 to $38.

Wednesday, April 4: The Shakespeare Theatre Company (450 7th Street NW) presents its first-ever production of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus. Written near the beginning of his career as a playwright, Titus is one of the bard’s bloodiest plays. It should be interesting to see how the company stages it. 7:30 pm. The play runs through May 20. Tickets are $19 to $51.

Thursday, April 5: Everybody knows the fuzzy guitar rock that The Strokes have been churning out for the past two years. Now their guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr., goes solo with his own brand of catchy pop rock that’s garnering as much acclaim as some of The Strokes’ work. He’s at the 9:30 Club this evening for an early show at 6. Tickets are $15.
