Ever wondered how you’d like horseback riding? Find out with a free trial ride at the Potomac Horse Center (14211 Quince Orchard Rd., North Potomac; 301-208-0200; potomachorse.com), the area’s largest indoor riding center. PHC is the only local riding school with three indoor arenas: 85 by 65 feet, 200 by 80, and 220 by 120. All have viewing areas, and a lounge overlooks the main indoor ring. Free intro/evaluation lessons are Saturdays at 4 and 4:30 pm; reservations required. Lessons ($54 to $90) are available for all levels.
