These restaurants--all from The Washingtonian's 100 Best Bargain Restaurants or 100 Very Best Restaurants (marked with a *)--have their own drivers. Most deliver within three miles or so from the restaurant. Almost all have Web sites where you can see a menu, or they will fax you one.

Many top restaurants not listed here deliver through services like Takeout Taxi--but for that, you'll pay a service fee. These restaurants do not charge for delivery, although they ask that you tip the driver.
