Great Places to Work: Men vs. Women at Work

Who are more satisfied with their jobs—men or women? Boomers or their kids?

Are men more content at work than women? Are baby boomers happier at the office than their kids?

More than 16,000 employees took our Great Places to Work survey. One question we asked: On a scale of one to ten, how satisfied are you with your job?

Here, broken down by gender and age, are the percentages of those who checked 9 or 10, the highest scores. These numbers reflect employee satisfaction at companies that filled out Great Places to Work surveys.

Percent who say they’re extremely satisfied with their jobs:

Women:              53 %
Men:                   57 %
Ages 18 to 24:      46 %
Ages 25 to 34:      49 %
Ages 35 to 44:      55 %
Ages 45 to 54:      62 %
Ages 55 and up:    69 %
