"Ape at the National Zoo" by Neil Greenberg of Rockville

"Earth Day Celebration" by Tina Clayton from Southern Maryland

Tina writes, "The photograph was taken during the Earth Day festivities in Leonardtown Square, Leonardtown, MD. I remember the maypole dance being done when I was in elementary school and hadn't seen it in many years. A step back in time. A wonderful celebration with a small town feel. I love historic St. Mary's County."
"Slip, Slide'n Away" by Eric Jensen of Rockville

Eric writes, "I can still remember my first slip n' slide almost 40 years ago. To be able to see my kids use and enjoy theirs the way I used to brings back a lot of great summer memories for me and, hopefully, creates a lot of great summer memories for them."

I love the Ape photo by Neil Greenberg. I love how it was captured almost like the ape was posing. That picture would make an awesome card for the National Zoo.
