For a couple of months, photographer Colin Winterbottom followed the renovation work on Washington National Cathedral after it was damaged in the August 2011 earthquake. His photographs, now on display in the Pilgrims Observation Gallery, yielded a unique chronicle of the highly technical repairs—and a reminder of the majestic views afforded from the cathedral’s peaks.
