Colonial Williamsburg Resort Collection
If you're looking for a bit of history this Valentine's Day, head south to Colonial Williamsburg. At three Williamsburg hotels—Williamsburg Lodge, Williamsburg Inn, and Colonial Houses—you can book the two-night Winter Stories package (starts at $299 a couple). It includes daily breakfast, length-of-stay Historic Area passes, and a $100 gift card that you can use for almost anything—from a round of golf to room service to a romantic carriage ride. The Eldon
This hotel near the Washington Convention Center is offering a romance package featuring a bottle of Champagne, dinner at Clyde’s of Gallery Place, a pair of tickets for a movie at Regal Gallery Place, and continental breakfast the next morning. The Fairmont Washington
The Fairmont’s Make Your Honey Happy package, available throughout February, includes in-room hand-and-foot massages, a bottle of Champagne and cookies upon arrival, and breakfast for two. The one-night package starts at $349. To book, call 202-429-2400.

Gaylord National Resort
The Gaylord’s Remember Romance package runs all through February. The one-night package, which starts at $269, includes Champagne and strawberries, breakfast for two at Pienza, free parking, and 20 percent off spa services. The package also includes the resort fee, which means you’ll have use of the fitness center among other perks. For reservations, call 301-965-4000.

Goodstone Inn & Estate
Available during the entire month of February, Goodstone's Love is Inn the Air package includes a one-night stay in the Middleburg inn, treats and Champagne upon arrival, bath salts, roses, afternoon tea, breakfast, and a $50 credit towards dinner. Chef William Walden will serve a special four-course Valentine's menu February 12 through 14, which includes entrées such as baked lobster soufflé, rack of lamb, and filet mignon du gourmand. Dinner is $79 a person. The overnight package starts at $349.

The Homestead
As an ode to the resort’s first year in business, the Homestead is offering the 1766 Valentine’s Weekend package. Priced at—you guessed it—$1,766, the two-night package includes flowers and Champagne or wine, breakfast and dinner for two, massages, robes, and unlimited activities at the resort. The price doesn’t include taxes or a resort fee. Call 866-354-4653 for reservations.

Inn at 202 Dover
Get away for the weekend in Easton, Maryland, with the Lover’s Paradise package at Inn at 202 Dover. The three-night deal, available February 12 through 14, includes flowers, Champagne, and strawberries on arrival; breakfast each morning; a couple’s massage; dinner at the Peacock Restaurant; and more. Inn at Perry Cabin
Here’s another deal at the Eastern Shore: The Inn at Perry Cabin is offering a two-night Valentine’s package featuring dinner for two (one night only), daily breakfast and afternoon tea, a $200 spa credit, a bottle of sparkling wine, and candlelight turndown service. Lansdowne Resort
If you're headed to this Leesburg resort for Valentine's Day, considering booking one of two romance packages. The Sweetheart Package, which starts at $299 a night, includes a four-course dinner with Champagne toast for two at On the Potomac restaurant, late check out, and valet parking. The Hugs and Kisses package includes a dip in the heated pool and hot tub at Spa Minerale, Sunday brunch for two, Champagne and chocolate in your room, late check out, and valet parking. Liaison Capitol Hill

This Affinia hotel’s Naughty and Nice package includes a split of Champagne, rose-petal turndown service, an in-room movie, a box of Jacques Torres chocolates, a strip-poker set, a deck of cards titled, "52 Ways to Stay in Love Forever," and late check out. Mayhurst Inn
This Orange, Virginia, bed and breakfast has a two-night Valentine’s special that includes wine, cheese, and snacks each evening; Champagne, strawberries, and a box of chocolates; a dozen roses; and a $130 gift certificate to dine at the nearby Inn at Meander Plantation. Park Hyatt Washington
With the one-night Romance at the Park package, you get breakfast for two in your room, a bottle of Champagne, bath salts and tea lights for a dip in the tub, and chocolates at turndown. Renaissance Washington, DC Dupont Circle Hotel

Formerly the Renaissance M Street, this hotel’s “Making Whoopie” Pie package includes a baking class with executive chef John Therres, who’ll show students how to make heart-shaped whoopie pies and long-stem chocolate-dipped strawberries. The one-night package, which starts at $179, also includes in-room breakfast, a bottle of Champagne, and strawberries and whoopie pies to enjoy in the room. Call 202-775-0800 for reservations. Ritz-Carlton Georgetown
Love chocolate? The Ritz’s For the Love of Chocolate package is a chocoholic’s dream: It includes a seven-course chocolate-inspired tasting menu in the hotel’s Chimney Stack dining room, s’mores-making in the lobby’s wood-burning fireplace, and a copy of the novel Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel. Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner

River Inn
This Foggy Bottom inn's Be Naughty or Be Nice package includes your choice of a $25 gift certificate to Victoria's Secret (for the nice folks) or a $25 gift certificate to Pleasure Place, a nearby—er, "risque" boutique. Sugar Tree Inn
This Shenandoah Valley bed-and-breakfast is a offering a stay-two-nights-and-get-a-third-night-at-half-price deal for Valentine’s weekend guests. Rooms start at $148 a night. To book, call 800-377-2197. Be sure to mention the promotion to get the deal.

W Hotel
The W has romance packages that range from a relatively-modest $319 a night to a whopping $27,999 for two nights. The high-end package, dubbed Ultimate Lover's Lounge Package, includes a helicopter ride to Monticello for a private wine tasting; in-room couples massage; gourmet dinner and breakfast; a "personal body chocolatier"; a photo shoot, complete with a stylist; clothing; Louis Vuitton luggage; and more. The mid-range package called Naughty N' Nice ($699 a night) includes bath amenities, Champagne and treats at arrival, in-room dinner, two complimentary cocktails, an in-room scavenger hunt, and more. The Who's Been Struck? package, at $319, includes a romantic game and feather tickler, late check-out, and two cocktails. The Ultimate Lover's package must be booked over the phone—call 202-661-2462—but the others are available online.

Westin Reston Heights
Starting at $199 a couple, the Valentine's package at this Reston hotel includes a bottle of Champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a bag of Elizabeth Arden products upon arrival. You'll also get breakfast in bed and a $50 gift card to Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. To book, call 888-627-8344.

Willard InterContinental
The Willard has Valentine’s offerings to suit lots of budgets. At $379 a night, the Heart to Heart package includes breakfast in bed, valet parking, Champagne, and chocolate-dipped strawberries. The Heart to Heart Upgrade, at $809 a night, includes the above plus two 50-minute Swedish massages and turndown service with romantic music, liqueur, candles, and rose petals placed in a heart shape on the bed. At $2,400 a night, the extravagant Capital Night of Romance package includes a stay in the multi-level Jenny Lind Suite, which has a canopy bed and a Jacuzzi, along with breakfast in bed, valet parking, Champagne, strawberries, romantic turndown, and bath amenities. The Heart to Heart packages are available from February 7 through 14 only, but the Capital Night package can be booked year-round. Call 202-628-9100 to make reservations.
