Spring Fashion: What Stylish Women Are Wearing

By Alycia Kilpatrick

Five stylish women answer the question “What are you buying for spring?”

Nycci Nellis

Who she is: publisher, the List, a restaurant Web site.

What she’s buying: “Another pair of going-out jeans and a big bag that has room for everything.”

Nellis’s choices: Goldsign “Passion” boot-cut jeans, $182 at Daisy Too (4940 St. Elmo Ave., Bethesda; 301-656-2280; shopdaisytoo.com) and this Ananas “Nicky” bag in bone, $530 at Sassanova (1641 Wisconsin Ave., Georgetown; 202-471-4400; sassanova.com).

Ashley Taylor

Who she is: manager of the Ann Hand jewelry store in Georgetown and Ann Hand’s granddaughter.

What she’s buying: colorful beads and a ’60s-style dress. “The necklace will brighten up a plain outfit, and I’ll wear the dress for Sunday brunch or a night on the town.”

Taylor’s choice: red oblong bead necklace, $28 at Urban Outfitters (3111 M St., Georgetown, 202-342-1012; 737 Seventh St., NW, 202-737-0259; Tysons Corner Center, 703-847-0394; urbanoutfitters.com), and the Diane von Furstenburg silk chiffon dress she’s wearing, $345 at Barney’s Co-op (3040 M St., Georgetown, 202-944-8460; 5471 Wisconsin Ave., Chevy Chase, 301-634-4061; barneys.com).

Lynda Erkiletian

Wright’s choices: Jimmy Choo silver ballet flats, $295, and this Prada leather belt, $275, at Saks Fifth Avenue Chevy Chase.

Torun Walker

Who she is: owner, Romance for the Senses, a lingerie boutique in Alexandria.

What she’s buying: comfortable stacked heels; “I spend a lot of time on my feet helping customers or chasing after my four-year-old.”
