Kate Spade and KORS Michael Kors Shoe Event


Head to the new Bloomingdale’s in Chevy Chase for a shoe event with representatives from the Kate Spade and KORS Michael Kors lines. They’ll be showing off their new fall fashions—plus there’ll be a foot reflexologist and a DJ spinning tunes as you browse.

Third Thursdays on U Street


The third Thursday of every month, MidCityLive! puts on a Thursday Shopper Social in the retail area around 14th and U streets, Northwest. Boutiques and other stores offer discounts, socializing, snacks, and drinks from 5 to 8 PM.


Handbag Trunk Show at Caramel


Check out the handbag trunk show at Caramel by As If Bags. A portion of profits will be donated to organizations that promote the understanding and acceptance of those with Asperger’s Syndrome.

Trunk Show at Queen Bee Designs


Browse the latest collection from popular local jewelry designer Queen Bee Designs at this weekend’s fall show. It’s time for another local designer showcase, hosted by the Brightest Young Things folks. On Saturday, October 20, at the Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H St., NE), lots of local designers will be out showing their wares from 7 to 10 PM. There will also be free Champagne for part of the evening, giveaways, and plenty of DJ sets to get you dancing as well as appreciating local designers and fashionistas. Free before 10 PM, $10 after.
