Hometowns: She’s from Leesburg; he’s from DuQuoin, IL

How they met: An introduction by Lauren’s cousin Laura, who was a bridesmaid

How they got engaged: At an Italian restaurant on Valentine’s Day—he was so excited he popped the question during the salad course

Decor: Country chic, with Mason jars, pinwheels, burlap banners, and bales of hay

Wedding flowers: White roses and wildflowers

Wedding cake: Coconut pound cake with lime Bavarian mousse, made by Lauren’s sister Christa

Wedding food: The couple’s country-fair favorites, including kettle corn, watermelon, snow cones, and cotton candy

Favorite detail: A vintage lectern belonging to Lauren’s family stood in as an altar, covered in an heirloom lace tablecloth

First dance: “You Had Me From Hello” by Kenny Chesney

DIY elements: Lauren’s grandmother made the cake topper, her sister Elisa was the photographer, and family members handmade the paper flowers that hung from the shade trees
