Larry Van Dyne has been a senior writer at The Washingtonian since 1980. He has written in-depth stories on a variety of subjects, including politics, urban planning, real estate, museums, architecture, sports, food, education, history, business, transportation, law, medicine, intellectuals, and the environment.
He previously worked as a reporter at the Chronicle of Higher Education and the Boston Globe. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and was a Professional Journalism Fellow at Stanford University.
