Heather Goss has lived in Washington since 2002.  Originally from Ventura, California, she attended law school at American University and now works as a staff attorney at a large firm downtown.  Her free time is consumed by writing for DCist.com, where she's the Managing and Arts Editor, as well as photography, and of course, renovating her new house.
