Paul Chernoff

Director of Information Technology

Paul Chernoff came to The Washingtonian in February 1997 as systems manager. Before coming here, he worked at Enteractive, a company that produced commercial multi-media products such as Earth Explorer, an online encyclopedia of the environment.

Chernoff has not always been a computer guy. He studied history, games, and urban planning at the University of Michigan and received his masters in community and regional planning at the University of British Columbia. Chernoff has also worked at the National Association of the Partners of the Americas, an international volunteer association.

He lives in Arlington with his wife and young son.

More about Paul

• Place you'll most likely find me when I'm not at work

• My favorite thing about the DC area
The smallness, and the simple ability to walk to so many places. (Obviously, I do not spend much time in the outer suburbs.)

• Hobbies and interests that keep me busy outside the office
Macs (of course), converting video to DVDs, slot cars, comic books, parenting
