Cynthia Allen is an editorial intern for The Washingtonian.  After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2000 , where she majored in Communication Studies, she moved to Washington, DC to work in the marketing/communications division of SmithBucklin Corporation, an association management company. She left after six years to pursue a Master's Degree in Journalism from New York University.

Cynthia lives full time in the Del Ray section of Alexandria, VA.
