Sara Levine

Sara Levine was a Washingtonian summer intern in 2005 and returned this year as an assistant editor after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. She oversees the editorial internship program and researches and writes for the magazine and Web site.

While at Penn, she was an intern at Philadelphia magazine, a reporter for the university’s daily newspaper, and an editor at the student-run weekly magazine, where she started writing about food.
“I’ve been reading food magazines since elementary school,” says Levine, who grew up in Chevy Chase.

At Bethesda–Chevy Chase High School, she was editor of the student paper, the Tattler: “You could say my journalism career started there.” She now lives near DC’s Dupont Circle.
