Before coming to The Washingtonian,
Chuck Conconi wrote the daily “Personalities” column in the Washington Post
for seven years. He was a reporter/commentator for WTTG Channel 5 and News Channel 8. He also was a regular commentator on WMAL radio and WBAL in Baltimore. Conconi has been a reporter for the Washington Evening Star,
the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Chicago’s American,
the City News Bureau
of Chicago, and the Toledo Blade.
He was a press assistant to former Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin. He has written two books, one, The Energy Balloon with former Secretary of Interior Stuart Udall, and another, The Washington Sting with the late Toni House, who was the chief spokesperson for the U.S. Supreme Court. Conconi also makes frequent television appearances in the United States and worldwide.
