The Tweet Beat: The Best Congressional Tweets of the Week

By Sophie Gilbert   Published Friday, June 05, 2009

Another week, another misplaced apostrophe from John McCain- all that unnecessary punctuation takes up valuable tweetspace! It’s a good week for his former running mate Governor Palin, who manages to beat down yet another one of those annoying ethics allegations. Darrell Issa incorporates musical themes into his tweets, Jared Polis thinks pine beetle damage is “way cool,” Claire McCaskill embraces her conservative followers, Denny Rehberg is worried about taxation of microbrews and Paul Broun sure has a way with words...

I think Senator McCain may have used the line linking the Romanovs and Obama czars once too often.
Is it deliberate of Newt Gingrich to have spelled roman, as distinct from Christian, with a small r or is it just lower case casual?
