Madam, just because some of us might need yard signs does not mean you should presume we need your yard signs.

Glad to see Himes out in the community, unlike Dan Debicella. This guy is supposed to get my vote, but he has made no effort to make himself available. Good luck in November, Dan.

Have we focused on economic growth?
Yes, Jim Himes has passed legislation that’s given tax cuts to middle and lower class families and small businesses. He’s also passed legislation to help free up credit to small businesses and increase lending.
Do you care about the deficit?
Well consider that when you listen to Debicella talk about how he wants to cut taxes across the board. This will INCREASE our deficit. Jim Himes doesn’t think tax increases should apply to everyone - middle and lower income families need relief - but we need to be mindful of our deficit.
What is Debicella’s definition of intrusive regulation?
Would that be Wall Street reform? Debicella is in favor of very limited regulation even though that’s what destroyed this economy.
Do you want to reduce government spending?
Jim Himes does. He has passed PAYGO legislation to help stop us from increasing the deficit and he has had experience making those tough choices when passing legislation that has to be fully paid for. He has made those difficult decisions and difficult cuts. Debicella says he wants to cut spending by 6%, but he hasn’t explained how he is going to do that and what cuts he is going to make. It seems like Debicella is just giving us another example of how he is all talk.
Are you in favor of stopping insurance companies from denying children coverage because of pre-existing conditions and not paying for every uninsured person’s emergency room visit, right now?
Himes is. Debicella isn’t.

Having been down 7-0 at one point the Rockies won 12-10. Some electoral contests are like that, as 2008 and 2010 will confirm.
Little faith is indeed rebuked sometimes.

I think it should be "too busy writing to read," with two O’s.

Posted by: KRG, Aug 27, 2010 11:08:11 PM

Should we focus on economic growth?
Are you for replacing the pork-barrel stimulus with a payroll tax cut? Dan Debicella proposes to send back the remaining money and cut your taxes. Jim Himes is opposed.
Do you oppose tax increases? Dan Debicella is for stopping any new tax hikes. Himes wants tax hikes in January.
Should we stop intrusive regulation? Debicella yes. Himes no.

Limit government?
Would you cap the size of the federal government at no more than 20% of GDP (Currently at 26%)? Debicella wants to. Himes doesn’t.
Would you favor forcing politicians to make trade-offs between reforming entitlements, being smarter about defense spending and reducing the number of civilian government employees? Debicella would. Himes wouldn’t.

True Healthcare Reform?
Repeal ObamaCare? Are you for it? Debicella is. Himes isn’t.
Perhaps you think we should replace it with true healthcare reform that lowers costs for the middle class? Debicella does too. Himes says no.

If Dan Debicella agrees with you, you can join the fight here: https://debicella.blue-swarm.com/donate.
