Ten Favorite Web Sites for Bargains

Where to go online for deals on everything from Jimmy Choos to digital cameras.

Style > Best Bargains Package

• Its lengthy selection can be tough to navigate, but longtime bargain favorite Bluefly.com keeps getting better. We’ve found everything from current-season Prada bags to Jimmy Choo stilettos, often 20 percent off or more. It’s worth it to sign up for the newsletter to stay on top of secret sales and extra discounts.

• You’ll find almost everything—from luggage sets to diamond studs to luxe bedding—on sale at Overstock.com. Our favorite part? Shipping is always $2.95, even on bulky orders like flat-screen TVs, dining-room sets, or overstuffed sofas.

• We were sad to see the shuttering of Cmart’s Landover branch but welcomed the discounter’s newest addition: Cmart.com. You can find many of the same great deals—recently, its ever-rotating stock included Fendi handbags and Sony camcorders—without trekking to the remaining Joppa outpost.

• If you can score an invitation from a current member to join Gilt.com, Ideeli.com, or Ruelala.com—trust us, it’s worth asking around or e-mailing the sites to request an invitation—you’ll get access to private online sample sales from such luxury brands as Marchesa and Cavalli.

• Sign up for Hautelook.com to get first dibs on private sales from upscale labels like Diane von Furstenberg and Tocca.

• Shoe shopping has never been easier thanks to megasites like Zappos.com, Endless.com, and Piperlime.com, which all offer free shipping and returns.

This week they are featuring Missoni handbags and Eva Franco items.

Yes one can save a lot of money by co-ordinating major purchases with the deals and clearances - I have been following Unodeals.com as deals are preselected and take the hassle out of bargain hunting while saving hours of deals searching time.

Thanks for the info! I checked out Hautelook.com and picked up some great finds - all of my favorite brand names are so inexpensive!

FYI, the cmart.com website seems to be down for the foreseeable future- this notice appears on the site.

CMART UPDATE

DOWN but NOT OUT…

As it so often occurs, many roads converge all at once – and for C-MART those roads led us to focus all of our attention on a liquidation event while pausing momentarily all other efforts.

SO, what does all of this mean to you? The web site, as many have pointed out to us, is somewhat…empty – we are selling so much of our huge multi-million dollar inventory so fast in the store that stopping to photograph and enter the data into our CMART.COM database just isn’t realistic.

We have kept the site active since its inception because despite the limited inventory, we are still making sales worldwide – we also needed to test the systems and work out the technical functions so that when our store is back to business as usual, the site will be ready to lead the charge forward.

NOW, the site is almost empty of stock, the systems are in place, and we’re pulling it down while we reload and get ready for the permanent launch as we can once again begin to focus on more than JUST this major in store liquidation event.

For now, keep checking back here for updates, and we’ll C You at C-Mart…and this fall, the return of CMART.COM. Thanks for your patience!
