Barack and Michelle Obama will be visiting the White House today to get the first look at their new digs—oh, and presumably to chat about other things, like the pressing economic crisis. The Post also has an interesting look today at how the Obama administration would continue to use the internet in effective ways when he becomes president. When news reports of hotels filling up for inauguration weekend, we started asking of our friends: Would you consider renting out your apartment for in the inauguration? Several said yes, and now DCist is wondering what's a fair deal. The City Paper has the report on some shootings that took place in Petworth over the weekend. Stay classy, Councilman: DC Rock Club alerts us to a fact that a Jersey council member was at the 9:30 Club this past weekend to see a Grateful Dead cover band, and decided to relieve himself onto the stage while standing on the balcony.
