The Hot Ticket: Your Guide to Events on Sale

Every Thursday, we find out the hottest concerts and when they’re going on sale in the days ahead so you don’t have to do the work. Read on for this week’s heads-ups.

Fleetwood Mac is going on tour for the first time in five years, and the group comes to the Verizon Center on Tuesday, March 10. Rumours, the band’s 1977 album that sold over 10 million copies, will be re-released in conjunction with the tour dates. Tickets ($49.50 to $149.50) go on sale Monday, February 15, at 10 AM.

British musician James Morrison is playing 12 shows in the US, the last of which is at the 9:30 Club on Thursday, February 5. Tickets ($15) go on sale Saturday, December 13, at 10 AM.

Ben Kweller’s southern upbringing influenced his upcoming album, How Ya Lookin’ Southbound? Come In . . ., which will be released next month. He’ll perform some of his new material when he comes to the 9:30 Club on Thursday, February 26. The Watson Twins and the Jones Street Boys will open the show. Tickets ($20) went on sale this morning.

B.B. King will be back in the area for a performance at Baltimore’s Lyric Opera House on Sunday, March 29, a little over a month after his show at DAR Constitution Hall in February. Tickets ($47.50 to $99.50) go on sale Friday at 10 AM.

Piano-playing singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles continues her headlining tour through the new year, and she’ll play at the Birchmere on Wednesday, February 11. Tickets ($25) go on sale Saturday at noon.

Indie-folk artist M. Ward has plans to release his newest record, Hold Time, on February 17, just a few days before his show at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue on Saturday, February 21. Tickets ($20) officially go on sale Friday at 10 AM, but you can purchase them until tonight at 10 PM with the pre-sale password “holdtime.”

The New York-based indie band Antony & the Johnsons will play at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue on Tuesday, February 3. Tickets ($30) go on sale Friday, December 12, at 10 AM.
