The Hot Ticket: Your Guide to Events on Sale

Every Thursday, we find out the hottest concerts and when they’re going on sale in the days ahead so you don’t have to do the work. Read on for this week’s heads-ups.

TV on the Radio, a New York City-based rock band who recently performed on Saturday Night Live, will end its upcoming tour with a show at the 9:30 Club on Monday, June 8. Tickets ($25) go on sale Saturday, February 21, at 10 AM.

Kings of Leon will perform at George Mason University’s Patriot Center on Friday, April 24. All tickets are $45 (floor tickets are general admission), but you get two great bands for that price; the Walkmen will open the show. Sales begin Friday, February 20, at 10 AM.


Seal released his most recent album, Soul, at the end of last year, and he’ll perform the classic soul songs from that album when he comes to Merriweather Post Pavilion on Wednesday, April 15. Tickets ($35 to $125) go on sale Friday at 10 AM.

Country-music star Kenny Chesney will head out on the road for a tour this spring, and he’s scheduled a show at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Friday, May 22. Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum will also perform; tickets ($42.25 to $82.25) go on sale Saturday at 10 AM.

UK-based folk rock band Noah and the Whale will play the Black Cat’s main stage on Saturday, May 2. Tickets ($12) go on sale Friday at 5 PM.

On Tuesday, May 5, electronica/pop duo Junior Boys will perform at the Black Cat with opening act Max Tundra. Tickets ($15) go on sale Friday at 5 PM.

Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood will embark on a 14-city US tour, which includes a stop at the Verizon Center on Saturday, June 13. Tickets ($68 to $158) go on sale Friday at 10 AM.
