More Free Salads at Chop't
By
Sara Levine
Salad shop Chop't is the latest quick-lunch addition to Dupont Circle.
At the November opening of their first DC salad shop in Penn Quarter, Chop’t owners told us to expect three more outposts in the coming months, starting with a Dupont Circle location. Since then, we’ve been waiting—patiently!—to get our near-the-office salad fix. Finally tomorrow, the Manhattan-based designer-salad chain will roll out its now-standard opening promotion at 1300 Connecticut Avenue, Northwest: free salads from 11 AM to 2 PM, or until the greens run out.
Look out for more free-salad openings coming soon, maybe in your neck of the woods: The next two Chop’t branches are slated for 1735 Lynn Street in Rosslyn and 1105 19th Street, Northwest, in DC.

They copied a london-based designer-salad chain called chop’d. The only thing they did was replace the t with a d. I am suprised that they have not been sued yet.

Come summer, Washington is all about cafe society, and every restaurant with a sliver of sidewalk unfurls the umbrellas and hauls out the outdoor tables and chairs. We check out the new spots to dine al fresco in warm weather.

Would you like your patty marinated in "diablo" sauce, topped with funky Epoisses cheese, or smothered in sherried mushrooms? Michael Landrum's new Arlington fast food spot, just down the way from his Ray's the Steaks, definitely isn't your average burger joint.
