Now is a funny time to go shopping because you know that Memorial Day sales will kick in soon, but there is still a lot of affordable stuff out there that might disappear if you wait too long.
Wisteria has many discounted pieces, including this vintage stool, which is 60 percent off at $63.60. I also love the French Library Shelves Ladder. It’s a unique storage option, and it’s 30 percent off, at $249.
Williams Sonoma also has lots of goodies on sale now. I like the Orleans Toile Tablecloth, now $24.99. They also have a few Wusthof knives for sale, which can be hard to find. The utility knife, for example, is down from $99.95 to $74.99.
The department stores are clearly hurting these days, with sales getting bigger each month. At Neiman Marcus, you can get this Wooden Medallion Mirror for $313, which is 50 percent off. In the right room, I think it could add both drama and heft.
This modern take on an old telephone table from CSN is marked down from $245 to $199. You can find similar tables at resale and antique shops sometimes. I’m a fan because it can be a nice little space saver in a small apartment.
