While luxury condo buildings seem to be popping up on every corner, the Gramercy at Metropolitan Park offers something different—high-end apartments for rent, not to buy.
What: The Gramercy at Metropolitan Park.
Where: 550 South 14th Road, Arlington.
Expected Completion: Move-in begins in October, with the building scheduled for completion in early 2008.
Number of Units: 399.
Prices: $1,595 to $6,500 per month.
Floor-Plan Options: 100, including studios; one-, two-, and three-bedroom units; duplexes; two-story lofts; and penthouses.
Size: Units range from 500 to 2,200 square feet.
In Each Unit: stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, ceramic-tile floors, and energy star washers and dryers.
Closest Metro: Pentagon City, on the Blue and Yellow lines.
Building Amenities: sports club, massage room and sauna, rooftop deck, outdoor lap pool, movie-screening room, conference room, billiards room, free Internet cafe, underground parking, Verizon FiOS Wireless Internet throughout the building, and 24-hour front desk and concierge service
Perks: Looking to earn reward points on your credit card? You can pay rent with American Express. Need a ride? There’s a Flexcar office at the building. There’s also the VIPdesk concierge, a free service for residents to make to-do requests--anything from sending someone a birthday cake to ordering the items on your Christmas list.
That’s Unique: The Gramercy created its own trademark drink: the Gramartini. Ask for it at Morton’s in Crystal City.
