New Condo Spotlight: Lionsgate

Incorporating luxury living into an area already packed with restaurants, shops, and museums, the new Lionsgate condominum building aims to offer residents a taste of Park Avenue-style living in downtown Bethesda.

The Lionsgate is in the heart of downtown Bethesda, on the corner of Woodmont Avenue and Old Georgetown Road. All photographs courtesy of the Liongate.

Comparing Bethesda with the famed Manhattan stretch is exactly that—a stretch—but there’s no harm in trying to bring a bit of ritz to the neighborhood.

The 12-story, full-service condominium complex provides high-end amenities in-house and convenient services below—it sits atop one floor of retail space slated to include a spa, cleaners, salon, and bank. A grocery is across the street.

Just three blocks from the Bethesda (Red Line) Metro stop, Lionsgate is accessible yet centrally located downtown, where much is walkable and an urban feel persists.

The location, coupled with spacious floor plans and luxury finishes, helps push the starting price to nearly $750,000. Units feature stainless-steel appliances, hardwood floors, wood cabinetry, granite countertops, and bay windows. Units with balconies overlooking Woodmont Avenue or Old Georgetown Road are available.

Sales manager Vanessa Massaro says the building was constructed in a Beaux Arts architectural style while incorporating modern amenities. When it comes to appeal, she places particular emphasis on the building’s surroundings.

“It’s the best location in Bethesda,” she says.

Move-in began in May, but units are still available.
