Access Hollywood broke the news yesterday that she’ll be broadcasting her talk show from the Kennedy Center’s Opera House. The New York Times confirmed that the show will be taped on January 19, and that another DC show, planned for Wednesday, is in the works.
Information on how to get tickets will be posted on Oprah.com next week. We’ll post a link as soon as it’s up.
Oprah’s support of Obama was critical for many women and some men in seeing the "possibility" of who Obama is. Therefore, this will be an extremely sought after engagement. There is some serious power behind Oprah whether we want to believe or accept it. Unfortunately, I and others have tried to get tickets for years to her regular show--I hope she is able to give the DC metropolitan area a chance to experience her show during this historical time in our country.

In addition to the news that Oprah will tape at the Kennedy Center during Inauguration Week, we have discovered Aretha Franklin will be on the Millenium Stage for the tribute to Dr King. The Millenium Stage offers free concerts, daily, at 6 pm. Line starts at 4 pm, one ticket per person.
