“Khakis—just burn them,” says J P Stephenson. It’s a piece of advice for Washington men that’s as precise as Stephenson’s look. “I like suits with a European fit—snug and not long in the coat,” he says. The day our camera caught up with him, Stephenson was wearing a Ted Baker suit—check out the coat’s fantastic stitching and lining—Etro shirt and tie, and Allen Edmonds shoes. Watch our video below to see how Stephenson mixes up his office look for the summer with bold colors and stripes, and what shops he frequents if you want to emulate his look.
Son, you should have your haircut! Otherwise you look fine.

The cut of JP’s suit is spectacular, and should set an example for men in DC. Gentlemen, please, find yourself a great tailor. He absolutely looks age-appropriate (have you ever seen a young guy in DC wear a suit so perfectly tailored? NO) and breaks free from the tragic "typical polo/conservative look" that plagues the District. Bravo!

Haters!

I agree with Tim. Compare this look to the typical ’business professional look’ found in DC and he sticks our like a sore thumb...this is not the typical polo/conservative look...

Bitter party of one, much, Tim? I think he looks great--his look is both age-appropriate and stylish.

Wow, another tragic mid-age queen trying to fit into the ’im still young’ mold. Sad. He would be better off with the straw hat he ’cant pull off’ because he still sees himself as 25.
