By

Disney wedding gowns (!), a crafty invitation workshop, and more.
Friday, March 14: Lela Rose Trunk Show Try on dresses from designer Lela Rose’s newest collection—and get 10% off if you buy one—at Hitched (1523 Wisconsin Ave., NW; 202-333-6162). The show goes through Saturday. To make an appointment, call the salon or e-mail appointments@hitchedsalon.com.
Saturday, March 15: 2008 Bridal Expo and Fashion Show Event-planning company Global Vision will spice up this standard vendor meet-and-greet with two bridal fashion shows (noon and 3:30). It’s all happening at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza Hotel (1001 14th St., NW; 202-682-0111). Tickets $10 in advance, $15 at the door; 11 AM to 5 PM.
Sunday, March 16: An Enchanted Bridal Show Disney wedding dresses! I’m not getting married, but even I might head to Lansdowne Resort (44050 Woodridge Pkwy., Lansdowne; 703-729-8400) to see the Northern Virginia runway debut of Kirstie Kelly’s Disney bridalwear collection. You can come earlier to meet a bunch of local vendors—not as exciting but maybe more useful. Admission $15 per person or $25 per couple; 2 to 5 PM.
“Beyond the Invitation: Wedding Event Invites” Workshop Georgetown’s Paper Source (3019 M St., NW; 202-298-5545) hosts another workshop to help inspire your handmade save-the-dates and rehearsal-dinner invites. Register here at least 24 hours in advance. $55; 2 to 5 PM. To submit an upcoming bridal event, e-mail mconrad@washingtonian.com. To read the latest Bridal Party blog posts, click here.
