Where & When Bridal: What to Do This Weekend
By

All quiet on the bridal front . . . just a big sale and an invitations workshop.
Friday, April 4: Running of the Brides at Filene’s Basement Brides, brides and more brides will line up outside of Filene’s Basement in Vienna (8027 Leesburg Pike; 703-893-1040) at an obscenely early hour to storm in and grab discounted designer dresses when the doors open at 8. Get there early, and bring friends.
Saturday, April 5: Wedding-Invites Workshop Georgetown’s Paper Source (3019 M St., NW; 202-298-5545) is having another three-hour lesson in making save-the-dates and invitations. Register here at least 24 hours in advance. $55; 2 to 5 PM.
PLAN AHEAD Floral Design: Fresh Wedding Bouquets Enjoy a lazy Sunday but also start thinking about signing up for a floral-design community-education course given through Fairfax County Public Schools. An instructor will show you how to make bouquets for yourself and your bridesmaids. The class runs for two three-hour sessions starting May 14; register now to reserve your spot. $149.
