Ring in The Real World: Watch the Premiere With Fellow Fans

By Emily Leaman

Related: Recapping The Real World: DC

The camera crews may have left weeks ago, but MTV’s The Real World: DC is just getting under way. With the show premiering this Wednesday at 10 PM, fans are gathering at watering holes around the city to watch the debut episode. Here’s where to head if you want to join in on the fun.

BlackFinn
Metromix DC, Chris Wiggins of the Twitter handle RealWorldDCNewz, and Real World blogger Beth “Elizabethany” Ploger are hosting a party at this downtown bar starting at 8. Cast members Ashley Lindley, Callie Walker, Ty Ruff, and Emily Schromm will be on hand. Entry is free, and drink specials include $5 house wine and $3 Coors bottles. Click here to RSVP.

Halo
Metromix DC and Real World cast member Mike Manning are hosting an after-party at the Logan Circle gay bar Halo. Anyone can go to the party, but attendees of the BlackFinn shindig will get a “VIP Perk,” according to Wiggins, which “plays a role when arriving at Halo.” We’re not quite sure what that means, either, but Wiggins says organizers are being intentionally tight-lipped to maintain an element of surprise. Any guesses?

Nellie’s Sports Bar
BrightestYoungThings’s Aaron Riggins is kicking off a series of weekly Real World viewing parties at this U Street gay bar. Fans will gather each week at 10—or earlier to get the best seats—to watch the show together. Can’t make it? No worries—Riggins will be live tweeting the show at @BYGays.

Tattoo

Cast member Josh Colon is hosting a party with his band Wicked Liquid at Tattoo Bar in downtown DC. The VIP reception ($20) gets under way at 8 with free drinks and a meet-and-greet with the band. General admission ($5) starts at 9; $5 drink specials will be available all night. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.

Know of a party we missed? Leave details in the comments and we’ll add it to the list.

We are so happy to be partying down with all the Real World cast members at Tattoo tomorrow night! We hear they will all be there (except Mike) after 11.
