Tattoos, Dave Matthews tributes, and happy hours for furry friends

By Adela Smith

Come to DC’s Eastern Market to catch the end of the “Decoy Ink” exhibit at the Fridge DC gallery tonight. The solo show features brand-new tattoo-themed work including large canvases, gel transfers, and wood and paper prints. Wine will be free for early arrivals, but you can bring your own drinks if you’re running late. DJ Gold and El Barbudo will provide tunes. And for $20 (cash only) you can take home your own limited-edition temporary-tattoo sets. Free. 6 PM.

Attention, Dave Matthews fans! Tonight in downtown DC’s Farragut Square, the Golden Triangle Summer Concerts series is hosting Crowded Streets, a Dave Matthews Band tribute. And if it’s not the real thing, at least the price is right. Free. 5:30 to 7:30.

Grab your pooch and come out for Alexandria’s own special doggie happy hour hosted by Jackson 20 restaurant and Bully Paws. Drink specials start at $2; food specials also included. A special cocktail benefits the volunteer-run pit-bull rescue group Bully Paws. As a fundraiser, Bully Paws is hosting a raffle with prizes from local pet-friendly places, and adoptable dogs will be on hand. Raffle tickets are $1, with the drawing at 7:30. All those bringing a dog should enter at the courtyard entrance, around the corner on Royal Street. 5 to 8 PM.
