ART: Take a stroll through 18 galleries and exhibits during tonight's ARTventures on H. Participating venues include Studio H, the Atlas Performing Arts Center, and G Fine Art Gallery, to name a few. Plus, more than 19 restaurants will be offering discounts to attendees carrying an ARTventures "passport." For every punch received, gallery-goers will receive an additional 2 percent discount off their meals. 5:30 to 8 PM; Free.

HAPPY HOUR: Thirteen Dupont-area bars are rolling out the drink specials for this year's Midtown Liberty Bar Tour. Enjoy $3 Blue Moons, $2 Coors Lights, and food specials. Friday, July 1
DANCE: Bust out the Keds for 9:30 Club's '90s Dance Party. DJs Will Eastman and Brian Billion will be spinning the decade's most memorable hits. Tickets ($15) can be purchased at the event Web site. 9 PM.

FOOD: The Tenleytown Z-burger is kicking off the holiday weekend with their third annual Burger Eating Championship. The competition is full, but spectators will be treated to food samples and a free burger. Last year's record was 23 burgers in 10 minutes. Where's Man v. Food's Adam Richman when you need him? Free; 12:30 PM.

MUSICAL: Friday night and the lights are low, are you looking out for a place to go? How about Mamma Mia! at the Wolf Trap? This Tony Award nominee follows a young bride's quest as she tries to uncover the identity of her father. And you can't go wrong with music by ABBA. Tickets ($20 to $80) can be purchased at the event Web site. 8 PM.

Saturday, July 2
MUSIC: This year's Uncle Sam Jam is taking over the National Harbor for a day of live music, food, and fireworks. Rock out to performances by Blind Melon, The Wailers, and Pat McGee. Food by Famous Dave's and food trucks will be on site. Tickets ($40) can be purchased at the event Web site.

SCAVENGER HUNT: Leave the kids at home for tonight's Haunted Washington Scavenger Hunt. Armed with only a flashlight, participants will visit "haunted" buildings near Lafayette Park, all while hearing ghostly tales. You may even catch a glimpse of Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, or Abigail Adams. Tickets ($22.50) must be purchased in advance at the event Web site. 7:30 PM.

SPORTS: Jump over to George Washington University for opening day of the World Jump Rope Championship. Whether you're into hip-hop hopping, acrobatics, or good old-old fashioned jump roping, there'll be something for everyone. Plus some of the country's top jump-roping athletes, including past America's Best Dance Crew contestants, will be making an appearance. Tickets ($5 for children, $10 for adults) can be purchased the event.

Sunday, July 3
THEATER: Today's your last chance to see a show at this year's Source Festival. Catch full-length plays, ten-minute plays, and artistic "blind dates." And with stories about everything from teenage playwrights to the demise of human communication, there's something for everyone. Tickets ($10 to $55) can be purchased at the event Web site.

DANCE: Don't miss the Dance Place's annual showcase of the area's up-and-coming choreographers. This year's performance will feature numbers by Gabrielle Campagna of DancEthos, Travis Gatling of Full Circle Dance Company, and Nicole Martinell of Deep Vision Dance Company. Tickets ($8 for children, $22 adults) can be purchased at the event Web site. 7 PM.

TV PARTY: Calling all Arrested Development fans! Catch up on the best episodes from season two at Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse's TV party. Live music will be provided by Nevernudes, an Arrested Development tribute band. Plus, attendees can compete in show trivia for free prizes. Tickets ($15) can be purchased at the event Web site. Doors open at 9:30 PM.

PARTY: The Bullpen is hosting the seventh annual Party on the Potomac. A ticket gets you ballpark fare, access to an open bar, and live music by Slim Pickins, Judo Chop, and Jimi Smooth & HitTime.
